Marazion Boats is a painting by David Hosking. St Michaels's Mount is such a mystical island and so to add atmosphere to the composition David has used shades of greys together with some black and white highlights. It portrays a night-time scene complete with a dramatic moon. The blue boat adds a focal point to the scene helping the viewer to embark on a magical journey into the painting.
