This acrylic painting shows how this iconic tin mine can evoke the long history of mining in Cornwall. It is a very romantic image sitting on the wind swept cliff top with the rich colours of the swirling sea and the wild Cornish countryside. it measures 76x76cms.

The actual image is unmounted and measures 26.5x26.5cms, but it also has a narrow white border. Postage and packing is included in the price of £50.

A Cornish Journey

This is a painting that portrays everything that makes Cornwall such a wonderful place to visit. Through the entrance to the Tate find St Michael's Mount sitting proudly in Mount's Bay. Notice the tin mine, the fishing boat, the lobster pots and the proud Cornish Chough all inviting the visitor into this magical world.

Mine near Garlidna

David was painting this work when he was featured on the BBC programme Country File. The tin mine was situated very close to Garlidna Farm, where David grew up. Its striking image had a great influence on his landscape work.
